Austin Channing Brown is a media producer, author, and speaker providing inspired storytelling that centers the experiences of Black women in America. She is the New York Times Bestselling author of I’m Still Here: Black Dignity in a World Made for Whiteness. She has contributed essays to You Are Your Best Thing (edited by Tarana Burke and Brene Brown) and Hungry Hearts (edited by Jennifer Walsh). She also produced the web series The Next Question.

CHIEF STRATEGY OFFICER

Stephanie McBee is an Emmy nominated Television Producer, author, and entrepreneur. Starting out in New York City at the world-famous Gotham Comedy Club, Stephanie was part of the production team for Gotham Live, which aired for three seasons on AXS television. Her work there led to a creative production position on the iconic talk show, The View, where she worked closely with hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, and became Assistant Producer for Meghan McCain. In 2018, Stephanie became a producer for ABC News on their 2018 Election Night special. Stephanie then worked as a producer for the Tamron Hall Show earning her first Emmy nomination for Best Daytime Talk Show. Most recently, Stephanie was a producer for Nick Cannon and she continues to develop projects under her own company BeeXcellent Productions.

CHIEF CREATIVE OFFICER

Brooke Campbell spent most of her adolescence, and college years deeply engrossed in creative pursuits. After college, she was chosen to write a poem for Coca-Cola’s Black History Commemorative Book. The experience introduced her to the world of copywriting which she pursued wholeheartedly. Over the past few years, she has worked as a freelance writer while also working full-time. This abundance of experience and inspiration has served as a training ground for an exciting and fulfilling opportunity to help build Herself Media.

CHIEF CONTENT OFFICER

Jenny Booth Potter is an author, performer, and creative producer involved in video production for over 15 years. She has developed scripts, overseen casting and story interviews, produced live events for thousands of people, provided creative direction and logistics on-set, and just genuinely loves making a finished product out of a single idea. She is a storyteller at heart and is passionate about racial justice, serving as co-host of The Next Question along with Austin Channing Brown. Jenny’s first book, “Doing Nothing is No Longer An Option” was released in October 2022.
